Packages

How many of you use Package deals such as Bronze, Silver ,Gold and does it work. Often thought of implementing something along those lines but Not sure, Any thoughts?

I have tried to do stuff like that but it always goes out the window a weak later. I do price point structure anyway so really protector is the only up charge. People want their floors to be cleaned when you leave so unless the soiling is excessive I don't charge more If I gotta pre scrub or whatever. I also ask residential customers to vacuum before we get there. Now for property managers on the other hand I have set up a basic cleaning price for a few of them where all they are interested in is just a pre spray and wanding, no additional spotting or anything.

I do not do packages, if I did I would name them something like "Cruddy Cleaning", "Lame Cleaning", and "Awesome Cleaning"

You are hired by the customer because they want the carpet cleaned, simple enough, right? So lets say Mrs. Finkelgroover wants to save a buck on her cleaning and goes for the middle of the road (most will pick the middle package) Lame Cleaning package. Unfortunately the lame cleaning package does not include a step that you know her carpets need to turn out awesome. You proceed to clean the carpets according to the lame Cleaning package and the job turns out.....lame. Sorry Mrs. Finkelgroover, you should have bought the Awesome Cleaning package. Thank you for your business and have a great day. She will never call you again because the work you did was lame, it was not her fault for buying the lame package, it is your fault for doing lame work.

So the next day Mrs. Finkelgroover has her book club meeting and all of her friends are over. She tells everyone she just used ______ Carpet Cleaning and look at the lame job they did (not the lame job she bought). All of her friends tell all of their friends how lame the work that _______ Carpet Cleaning does.

Alternatively, you could just give her a price to clean her carpets, knowing as you inspect Mrs. Finkelgroovers home just what needs to be done to produce awesome results and price the job accordingly. So the next day Mrs. Finkelgroover has her book club meeting and all of her friends are over. She tells everyone she just used ______ Carpet Cleaning and look at the Awesome job they did. All of her friends tell all of their friends how Awesome the work that _______ Carpet Cleaning does. You continue to sleep well at night and live happily ever after.

A package does not have to be structured according to quality of cleaning.

They can all be quality:
1) No furniture moving, just traffic areas for the budget oriented.
2) Some furniture moving.
3) Each with Teflon at an added cost.

That may give the saving oriented clients what they want (at a cost that will be nicely profitable for him with each option.)

He may try and see if it is advantageous or detrimental for his business.
Many way to do business and be profitable, all at different price points.

Agree with ofer, degrees of cleaning sounds lame to me rather have packages set up like his example ^^^^^^^^^

Thats so funny .. wheres the like button ..

I quoted a price on a sofa and love yesterday and she says thats too high .. I said would you like me to refer you to a cleaner that charges less .. she asks,"Do they do a really good job?" (emphasizing really) I said probably not for what they charge .. she says, "Well I want a really good cleaning but dont I dont want to pay the high price."

Please note: If you ever have a motor with two ANTI-SPIRITS and only one Good SPIRIT you must change motor builders or part supplier right away. They have a demon.

I only have two packages, both are pet packages, the Great Dane Package and the Chihuahua package. Other than that it is by room, deodorizer, sanitizer etc as addons.

I do not offer different levels of cleaning. If I am going to put my name on a job I will do the best I can. If they want otherwise they can go hire someone else. I charge by the Sq. Ft. based on the condition of the cleaning required. Odor and stain treatments are priced separately from the carpet cleaning.
