Anyone using paraflex on a live hose reel? I like the 50 ft. that is carried in, but would like to run from truck to the door in paraflex. Going on a Butler with high heat option, and 100ft of hose on reel.

Yes on a high heat Butler and on standard, works fine.

However as Bryan mentioned fewer quick disconnects the better so they won't get caught on the bar above the solution reel.

the heat build up is really hard on Parflex hose. When we sold it we never recommended running it on a live reel unless you unrolled all of it each time.

Take care,
Lisa

I've got 100' of it in once piece used as my lead hose. I really like the stuff for the most part. It is harder to deal with in cold environments and narrow hose reels. But the insurance peace of mind is worth it in my climate for sure because black death is something I don't want to deal with.

Paraflex blistered and leaked on my butler right by the reel. 240-250 is too hot for paraflex. I am now trying some eagle one hose to see if it holds up. Mine also tends to slinky under the truck and hit the exhaust this year and burst.

yeppers 50 for inside, 50 to the door and 50 on the reel. oh crap I have live reel but never use the live part. But I always cool down the fluids in the machine before shutting it down. Or things start to stress fracture eventually. coils, exchengers, temp guages, and even the bypass valves..."pressure guages" not so much

A better option is to use a 50' steel braided hose on the live reel then connect to your more expensive Paraflex. You can get one on EBay for less than $50. Then your Paraflex can last for years longer occasionally putting new crimps on the wand end of the line as it weakens.
