Phishing scam or something

I received a letter from a New York lawyer regarding a asbestos/mesothelioma case on a former employee they say worked for me from 2013-2015.
During those years and in fact from at least 1998 I have been a owner operator with no employees.
What's the deal here? Anyone else getting such letters?

I get emails at least once a month claiming content on my website is copied and threaten a lawsuit. Has links in it which I will not open. All a scam tho.

I have had calls to verify employment of people I have never heard of. I also received a letter from the state telling me to withhold child support from someone's pay. I had no idea who the person was and called the state to tell them.
