Time after time, when I get close to ordering more equipment, I attempt to contact Phoenix rest tech for info regarding if they have a 230v agent in Australaisia.... NEVER EVER get a reply back.

Oh well, Drieaz has an agent in New Zealand and lucky for me, actually had a LGR2000 IN STOCK, now this is almost unheard of. They have only ever sold maybe a handful of these babies in this country (when I bought my last one a couple years back, I was told it was number 8 or 9 ) and the main reason is due to the exchange rate. The OLD list price is $5300 PLUS TAX but I got it a good deal below that due to my ongoing purchases from said company.

The company is great to deal with and has great customer service and most of my equipment is new from them and blue.

I'm waiting for it to arrive as we;ve had lots of flooding and have jobs lined up for it.

Probably means there's less restoration companies with PROPER equipment.

A lot of guys look at these pieces, see the prices and then go and buy what I call 'warehouse dehus' at hundreds of dollars instead of thousands. These are consumer products and in no way should ever be used commercially. Sure there will be the odd job where there's a small spot of wet carpet with minimal if any structual drying, but the problem is, they don't want to acknowledge any difference between theirs or the likes of this for level of performance.

I've made a stand to never buy them at all. There's been the odd time when space is restricted where they would have been easier but in those cases, I just place it outside the area and pipe the air inside the containment.

I remember laughing out loud (not in front of the client) when I put my thermohygrometer in front of one of theirs on a job where we were both worknig in different parts of the same large building and the differnce (can't remember exact numbers) was like night and day to my 1200. Now that was a number of years ago prior to my first 2000.

We tend to juggle the 1200's and the 2000's so that they are working where they work best. The moment we need structual drying, then 2000's are brought in.
