So today I had a somewhat grubby poly to clean. It went a bit like this.

Used 244 liters of water including pre-spray.

Recovered 215

Measure was 40 liter machine tank x fills + pre-spray.

Effluent out is measured as 20 liter bucket x full empty + fractions.

Rotovac 360i was used at 220PSI. I cannot adjust flow or pressure on my Porty.

I adjusted the flow control on the Rotovac to flow water very conservatively.

The site tube was a sea of foam and filth.

Flushing was good. Head speed was set t0 6. I did not adjust the speed of the machine at all during this cleaning.

I dried areas after extraction and then in some cases resumes flushing and then just drying up some more. I could have made it gush shit forever.

To finish u three the glided AW 29' on and dries some more.

Ticket was $120

Great work Grant! I've never understood why anyone would run the 360i at less then 10 for normal cleaning. I do like the option of turning the metal swoop heads down to 1 or 2 while at a delicate marble threshold, otherwise they chop a piece of marble out. Otherwise it's great guns a blazing.

Last week I had the great pleasure of going full out porty with no TM as a fan belt broke on my Chevy Express and it destroyed the radiator and water pump and fan housing and blade and everything else in it's path. It took five days and $1900 to repair. But I was able to keep working my jobs with no cancellations because of my backup Ford Ranger and the Rotovac CFX (15 gallon model) and the 360i. All right it wasn't a pleasure, it sucked ass, but I was able to maintain my schedule. This is the 360i head hooked up to customer's tap with no added pump. Plenty adequate at 1 gallon per minute flush and the metal swoop heads that beat the crap out of even the worst of the carpets.

And I'm loving this 15 gallon model CFX as there is no longer any waste water blowout from the vac motors as they are 2 feet above the effluence.

Great work Grant!

Which head is on your 360i?

I'm thinking about upgrading the head to the quad...

I used a head that has three vacuum shoes, three spray jets and brushes in the disc where there would otherwise be empty space.

From what I've seen. It's a chainsaw.

I have a wool commercial glued down in a Chineese Resteraunt to clean tomorrow morning.

That's going to be fun.

Cleaning greasy Resteraunt junk from wool.

Customer has already had Chemdry try and clean it and then had more success DIY with a RugDoctor and laundry detergent.

To be honest when I did the estimate it looked alright considering.

I will acid rinse it with the steamy goodness of my heated Rotovac.

But in the areas of higher soiling I think the wool friendly stuff isn't going to cut it.

Have some local powder that is pH 11 and I was thinking in concert with some citrus this may shift it without burning or stripping dyes.

Fun times.

Was that just one room and are you saying you left over 7 gallons of water in the carpet.
Yes just one room.

And went back over the carpet with a glided AW29 to recover the surplus.

Just trying to gauge Rotovac's recovery on a porty.

My use of the Rotovac I hope will improve too.
