Well I just about finished setting up my van.
Ex-NYPD surveillance van, if you notice the paneling and sound insulation. Hole already cut in the roof for cameras and mikes.
About 10 grand in equipment has given me 350 cfm, unlimited heat, 3800 HOT psi, 8000 watts of power, and the ability to go remote with HWE and low moisture if needed.
Not the most "conventional" set up, but for just starting out, i think it has a lot of versatility, and I can do a lot of jobs in a lot of places.
I think versatility is going to be key in the big city.

Spare me the "You should have just got a used truckmount!" shiteatinggrin

In the city you are probably more likely to have thieves try to lift some of your toys. I'd try to secure them better if you have to operate from the truck. I run extended vans and still never have enough room.

Never noticed the dirty carpets.

Cool set up. Do you do a lot of pressure washing or vent hood cleaning?

No vent hood cleaning. Most vent hood guys I have seen have chemical burn scars allover, and are usually coughing up blood.
I''ll pass.
I'm hoping I can land some commercial storefronts, sidewalks, and dumpster pads to start. Not the most glamorous work, but a lot of grease and grime in this city. That's where the heat will really shine. Not to mention the couple of million pieces of gum on the sidewalks.

Looks good Frank,

What did you do to your M5, you mentioned it's boosted?

Shoot a video of it when you can.

I picked up one of those cheesy looking SteamBrite boosters that replace the waste tank lid. I was going to try to make one myself, but didn't find the time. Despite the fact that it looks like a pasta strainer, its got a HP 3 stage under it, giving a total of 3x3stages, each pulling from the tank separately and directly. The M-5 has a 2 inch stack for each motor, plus the third pulling from the lid. This makes it 3 in parallel I think. It takes about 10 seconds to take put on and take off. You can see it in the picture.
Video soon!
