Would you rather get the cards back that were sent to homes where your client had moved from or you got the address incorrect or would you like to have the cards say "Or current resident" ?

I want them coming back. Keeping tabs on my clients is more important to me because the response rate is so much better.

If it was a mailing looking for new clients, I'd go the other way.

I'm with Dirk, I like getting the cards back to keep track of clients.

We have looked into getting the permit so we can add "or current resident" . We just don't do enough mailings to new customers right now.

If it's your customer and the post card comes back, you should have their phone number so try and call them to see if you need to remove them or get new address.

Here's something I'm going to try. Let the cards come back so you can mark it in your database, then send a different card back to the address marked current resident with a message that identifies you as the guy that cleaned the carpets in the house. Maybe a welcome to your new home type thing.

I had alot of folks move between my last mailings, but so far have picked up at least 15 new customers this year. Folks come and go I guess.

Also Greg, I think you can put address correction requested on your cards and they will send it back with the new address.
