Just purchased Cobbs powerMax ps and the 8lb jar says to use 8oz per gallon of hot water... Have a 2 gallon pump up sprayer, so I'm going to use 16oz?? Seems like a lot of ps to mix...anyone else using this stuff and at what dilution ratios are you using to get good results? Thanks.

Cobb relies on idiots who can't do math to pay his boat insurance.

In reality a well formulated powder should work killer at 2 ounces per gallon of soft water.

and be more than good enough for clean homes at one ounce per gal.

I'm curious as to what 64 ounces of a powder looks like in a 4 quart HF... lol...can you imagine trying to mix that up with hot water and you activate the powdered 02 in there...

I use my 4-1 hydroforce 5 quart bottle with 5 scoops probably 10 oz or 2 oz per gallon.

We have used a couple more scoop on grungy carpets befoee

Current usage on PowerMax product data sheet:

Prespray (Traffic Lanes) 4oz. /Gal. Hot Water (Hydro-Force 1.5 cups/ 5 qt.bottle)

It will be that on labels on next printing.

Let us know how it performs, and if you like the fragrance.

I refuse to even use Prochem powders when they recommend 4 oz per gallon.

Follow the directions on Powermax and you'd be putting 20 GAL DARN scoops in your 4 quart HF mix @ 4-1. Ridiculous.

Too many great products that work well at 2 oz. or less.

My problem with prespray dilution is that one cleaner can easily spray down
twice the amount of prespray in a given size area.

So the amount of prespray chemical can easily be twice as much with the same dilution.

Pump up sprayers put down maybe 50% of the inline sprayers.

Drying time is also a factor in the concentration of the prespray.

One of our customers has a "unique selling proposition".

His differentiation in his market is "Drying Time in 1 Hour or Less"

He uses less of a stronger prespray, agitates lightly,

does 1 TM extraction pass & 1 dry pass,

& sets multiple fans.

Majority of the time he is successful.
