This is a 31 hrs Kohler Agies with EFI, Roots 47, Cat 3CP with unloader/regulator. Engine is warm, running at 2700rpm with no vac hose attached the vac gauge reads about 4 hg. Turn on the pump(pressure set at 500psi) and you will hear a slight change in rpms but as I raise the load by closing off the vac port the engine will slow considerably. At 13-14 hg it will eventually slow to a stall but if I turn off the pump it will recover somewhat.
I have checked all filters in the tank and they are good. I have checked each cylinder and both are firing as they should(both plugs and coil packs are good). Air filter has been removed during testing.
Don't know if its the EFI causing a loss of power or if the Cat pump-regulator is doing something requiring it to need an unusual amount of HP?
Anybody with ideas?
