pre spraying with dry slurry?

I heard from my friend that he talked to another cleaner who boasted about pre spraying with dry slurry, and I just ran into another guy who says he does the same. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I won two cases of Dry Slurry at a customer appreciation day and to use it up I pre-sprayed with it. It works perfectly as a prespray. Go about 2 ounces per gallon and spray it like any other pre-spray.

I used it by mistake one time and it actually worked pretty good.
