Sorry Guys- I love my 100A! hey it's only 20 yrs old but it's a 57 Chevy to me.
Yeah Prochem is hostile toward these old machines and charges way too much for parts but they run forever.
They are super hot and the vacuum almost holds the wand down to the floor-
Anyway I once heard that guys were taking the magnetos from these to Harley Davidson shops for rebuilding.
Regarding that, I am replacing the points and condenser in mine but I'm wondering if I should grease some bearings while I'm in there.

Is there someone here with experience or knowledge of this operation?

New ones are about $1300 wth!

Wish I still had my 100A! Loved that machine.. It was my first one.

I can confirm that is true to see a Harley shop near you for rebuilding of the magneto. As far as greasing the bearings, my answer is definitely! Those old machines can be hot, sooty, and with alot of vibration, its a good practice to service everything that you can reach while youre in there.

As far as HOW to rebuild it.... I can't remember how or what to do. Too long since I had the machine.
