I am looking at this unit in a 2007 gmc extended van. Hours and miles are fairly low. 1000 hrs/157kms on a 4.6 gas engine. The unit is 4 years old.
My question is this. Can you set the unit to bypass hot water to fresh water tank instead of vacuum tank?
Seems like a waste of H2O bypassing to waste.I don't have any experience with slide-ins, mainly a clutch-drive guy with no need to bypass.

My old PC Bruin bypassed into the waste tank too.
That was around 1995

Where is the new technology?

The reason to use thermorelief valves is to protect the seals of the pump because they can't handle super hot water. If you hook the thermorelief valve to a water tank instead of the waste tank, you are only increasing your incoming water temperature and run the risk of ruining the seals in the pump. If you are talking about the heat bypass valve, you can just keep it closed instead of opening it.
