Red, blue and yellow- all other colors are mostly a blend of these three. Black and white are not colors. This is a simplified color pie. If you're doing bleach spots, be sure to neutralize heavily, sodium metabislfite is excellent for that.

Don't order a kit with fifty bazillion colors. The ones I use most are blue, red, yellow, grey, and dark tan, in that order.
