This ones most likely a better choice. 45 degree rise @ 2.7 gpm. I'm at about 1.8 gpm coming from my wand and it is only triggered 50% of the time so it should give a nice rise in temp.

I gues my real question is will this hurt a heat exchange TM? I'm curious if it will cause it too overheat or anything.

LOL I think I'm going to try it. I might ditch it this summer but my heat isn't crap in this freezing weather.

i preheat my water in my v and run it through my traditional exhaust hx it shouldnt hurt anything but i would probably talk to greenie if you dont have a diverter or a bypass on the hx.

I have a 55 gal tank but I think I'm going to set this up to run off a water hose.

I had a tankless at my last house. It will need to sense a certain flow before it kicks in, might want to verify the exact specs. Will the water go to a mix tank or direct to the pump?

Its made for camping so a water hose should have enough flow to kick it in. I'll ask the seller about it though thanks for bringing that to my attention. I bypassed my mix tank because the float valve kept going out and I was sick of replacing it. I have a chemical draw (pressure washer style I think its called a demi valve) setup after my pump.

I ASSume your float valve was electric? I used one of these to replace my electric float valve.
