I have a Prochem Cub xl. I am looking to boost the water temp. I was talking to my mechanic. He told me that he could order 120,00 btu from Prochem for 1200.00. Wanted to know if this would be something that is worth doing. I won't be able to afford an upgraded truckmount anytime soon. Is a propane water heater something I can find a deal on used? Thanks for any info!

I got lucky and find a barely used one. Works great, cheap heat, just make sure you use a 2-stage regulator if its cold where you live.

Hi Dave,

You won't "need" a LG 3HT 120K btu heater, you are just looking for a boost right? the smaller 65K btu will serve just fine.
It's also better on the wallet, being less expensive and burning less fuel.

Use the savings to buy a nice belly mounted tank, and enjoy high steady reliable heat, you will even be able to kick your wand jets up a size and flow more water and clean faster.

Be sure to get a pressure relief valve, they are not always standard
The heat exchange propane hybrid truck mounts are a powerhouse.
