ProSource Gone

My local ProSource is closed up. They sent me a membership renewal about a month ago, but I didn't re-up. They have refered me to other stores about 50 miles away.

I did a small business with PS, and refered my custys there....at least for comparison shopping. Those checks were nice when I sold a bigger job.

I'll have to refer to the local carpet stores from here on.

The one close to me is like 50 miles too. as far as i know its open. I've dealt with very little there price was no better then i could get local.

I'm know I'm biased but I say good riddance. My complaint isn't about lost business, becaue we are in an entirely different market. But we have had way to many people who shopped us and then said well my installer can get us carpet at Pro Source.. can you match their prices.. then we we refuse because there is no price to match carpet to carpet. You can't buy apples at orange pricing! We can deal with that but what really pisses us off is when "their Installer" screws up the job and customer wants us to come out and fix their mess. hmm let me see.. uh no! This happens way to often around here. For every good pro source store and reputable installer who uses them , there are 10 hacks that are just trying to pry the money from the customer's checkbook and then off to the next sucker! And best yet, the hacks have no overhead so if a customer wanted to go after them.. what do they have to loose.. especielly if they incorporate and he keeps all his assets seperate of the biz?
