No Bob!

We hang out on MB to learn how to pick up chicks...

Of course we want to see a driveshaft rebuild.

Anything that doesn't involve "thin white slacks" would be great!

Cool.

Btw, after you're done can you post pic's and instructions on a blower rebuild too? I've never done one of those.

Thanks!

the tool on the left is a thickwall tube wit an old bearing welded to it
Spread the Locktit sleeve retainer and tap in new bearing using the old bearing against it!
THEN
tighten homemade "jig" to hold the bearing in place
jig.jpg

NEXT slide the inner shaft through housing and star tapered end in the front bearing
next1.jpg
move to rear and tap the rear bearing over shaft with the old bearing facing the new....drive it home

next3.jpg

tap bearing all the way till it doesn't move any more...remember the front bearing CAN'T move because of the retaining jig....
finished.jpg

Ther ya go....brand new driveshaft in less than 1/2 hour!
it woulda been a LOT better ...but my crappy Kodak is goin' south on me!

Pretty slick Bob!

Your not going to leave us hanging are you?

What's the PTO out of? Is that a spare or are you going to slam it into a rig?

Hi Bob:

Butler and White Magic use "Eccentric" bearings in the middle & back of the shaft. Is that also true with Steam Jeanie?

Thx,
Dale

just an A/C clutch baby just an A/C clutch baby
Yes and what a GREAT IDEA.......works for Butler...cleanCo....white Magic AND Steam Genie as well as numerous OTHER TMs as well......
I never ever have had a clutch problem....ever!
Wit the tens of thousands of dollars in R&D by the various TM manufacturers.........one would be a fool NOT to take advantage ...........

if glued together plastic boxes were the cats ass....
there'd be a LOT more...running around
