Pump help needed...

I have a Pumptec 356 water horse/otter 1200 psi. No pressure today, rebuilt it a 100 hours ago, pumps only cold water and no chemicals. Before I take it apart again to check the seals and valves, could it be the unloader? How do you know if an unloader is bad?

I had to clean two of the worst jobs of the year today with only city water pressure. Took me twice as long. What a crappy day.

Bill;

Just pull off the bypass line from the unloader.

When you are rotary extracting, there should be no water coming from that line.

The PumpTec 1200 PSI pump seals will get hot,
if left in bypass for more than a few minutes.

Thanks Larry, you mean I should permanently disconnect the by-pass line?

I only run a wand at 400 PSI.

Understood. No problem with unloader, so I had to take it apart, another busted valve.
