The inventor of that product (Steve) is the same fellow who makes our sewn products like the wand straps for the handy spotter, the handy spotter it's self, and our super stair strap, he is also the Vanopy guy, you might have seen his stuff in the new products section of ICS.
Back when he was prototyping the safeconnect, he used Foster, but when HydroForce bought the idea from him as well as the pending patent rights, they went with a socket that was already being purchased in volume, the parker, and the rest is history.
