Went in and got out about as fast as Sherman (spit) but had a good time.
Some impressions: The vendors generally seem like a bunch of dedicated men and women. I found myself getting hailed by nearly every one. Even if I was not an obvious buyer they all took time to explain what they had, how it worked and what distinguished it from the other brands. Several offered samples (I LOVE samples) and others let me try out the machine or product.
The show seemed comfortably well attended. Not overcrowded, but cheerfully busy.
The rich and famous were in attendence but nobody offered to validate my parking, hahaha!
The Zippers look like industrial, thoughtfully designed and beautifully crafted tools. If it is what you need, it looks like a twenty-year keeper. For example, the external panels are nylon, with rounded edges and corners. No mar, no mark, no gouge with those panels. The handle locks upright with a large disk magnet. Guys, that is a genius touch!
The other wands seem like muzzle loading muskets next to a Bushmaster. I did like the rotovac 360i, a smallish but tightly built powerhorse. You have to see these things in person.
I found the Dwellpro to be much larger than I expected, really liked trying it out, but am not convinced yet that it would make more sense than the large EDIC portable or a US Products porty. I'm willing to be corrected on that.
Some of your favorite characters were there. It was a little unnerving to be recognized but fortunately nobody seemed more than slightly offended to meet my lead elf and Yours Truly.
It is not true that Chavez has a face like a can of smashed assholes. Well, not entirely true, at least.
That last is for you future researchers who, seeing Richard's likeness on Mount Rushmore, think Willy P had it pegged...
What I'd really like is the chance to sit down with some of you giants and learn how to grow my own business. Now then, reader; if you can get to one of these, do it. You simply have to see, handle and discuss the available chemicals, tools and support software to stay current. I am so glad that I set a day aside to attend.
Many thanks to the many who put the whole thing on!
