I was just talking with someone about this last night.

We have them on the van but they don't get as much use... I think it is the clientele we run into... We don't clean super trashed residential all the time... And a lot of commercial accounts it doesn't work for us that we do... But still good units!

I hardly touch my Trex Brush head anymore. Between the chems, CRB, and Devastator tech, Cleaning is a snap. I still use it on sandpits and nasties but nowhere near as much.

I feel sorry for people that get so set in their ways they refuse to experiment with new chems or learn new methods. I always find it funny when I clean for a new customer that has been using another local cleaner previously and they rave about how they can see the difference in cleaning. It really isn't that hard, just takes a little effort. Seriously, how hard is it to prescrub? How hard is it to clean your inline filter?, How hard is it to not be a hack and tell people your detergent rinse is also your prespray?

Sorry about the tangent. The subject has been on my mind. It's so easy to do better, it stuns me how many don't. I had one local guy brag to me about his equipment and methods. His van looked like he a chicken coop inside. His TM looked like he was producing gravel with it. He was using a swimming pool filter and 1 1/2" hose with a 35 blower. I just shake my head. Low hanging fruit.

And Good Morning.

I think the 360ibh is easier on my body then the wand. But im only 5'5". I could see why tall people would have more back problems.
Im thinking of using the 360iBh on 3000 sq ft house tomorrow and its not too trashed.

I use a rotary A LOT when I'm alone. So much so I'm itching for a new one. I'm barely tired after a sizable job. The 360i has made us a lot of money and cheerleaders but I want something that's more rugged and professional looking. The new RX-20 might be our next big purchase. I may commit to using it on all main level residential while heading upstairs to bedrooms with the CRB/Devastator.

Make sure you give an RX a really good try before buying one, it's got a very dramatically different feel about it than the 360 and doesn't dry nearly as well in my opinion

That's why I mention it. I don't have a local distributer so I end up gambling some. Do the glides help?

I typically clean my way into an area and dry my way out. I'd hope to not have to tweak my technique too much. I've gotten pretty efficient this way.

My buddy Matt has a lot of daddy duty this Summer with his wife finishing up her Nurse Practitioner. It's got me alone again a lot and pretty determined and excited to work my one man system. It's tough to beat the CRB/wand when there's 2 of us but the rotary is always calling my name with her promises of a cleaner carpet with less effort when I'm by myself.

Have you tried a 360XL?

You're young enough to man handle it and it's substantially faster with a brush head than the 360i
I have one and used it a lot when I first got it. I was in love for a minute.

They sent it to me with a brush head and metal glides. The motor they sent it with wouldn't spin the head on carpet, like at all. So they sent me the bigger motor and glides. I like how it runs on the carpet but it eats glides (as much as I use a rotary) and the head is so big and heavy while the handle is so lightweight...it just isn't as polished as I'd like. They're probably the least professional looking tools I own but their effectiveness has helped us to transform our biz.

A lot of our customers kind of expect and appreciate the swirls. It's a significant thing we've tried to do in an effort to try to raise the bar in my market. I want to keep doing some of the things that helped us find some success while not being afraid to try something new.

I'm still shocked that RE's are not way more popular with the lone wolves.

do you clean that many shit pits or do you just hate using a wand?
More the latter I suppose but there’s some pretty nice homes in my market that are well lived in by kids and dogs. Most need scrubbing of some kind and the rotary is easier on my body than covering large spaces with my 10” CRB and wand.

A larger CRB and my Zipper might really help productivity on the empty ones.
