i dont see red very well especially on brown or beige.

id just spray some stain magic on it and see if that doesnt get rid of it.

you need to learn to identify fabrics Chris.

If you had told me it was a Micro Fiber/Ultra Suede junk I'd have told you to go to town.

Many microfibers are polyester, and will release red dye without needing the steamer, but have it handy just in case.

Apply the red dye remover, give it as much time as you practically can if there is anything else you can do around the house (20 minutes or more), and you might find that the stain will just disappear.

If not, clean with hot water (no chemical) and see what you have.

If there is still any dye, apply the product again, then use your steamer.

I think you have a good chance of getting this one out.

I would not use an iron and a towel like you might on carpet, because of texture damage.

Would a Wagner with the WP head be a better option here if steam ends up being required?

How about Sapphire's red relief, wanna see if it works ? Its in a blue bottle : )

Chris, It doesn't look that bad. Definitely worth a try.

I might hit it with a high ph prespray to see if that breaks any loose. If it doesn't mist a little Yellow RX on it, blot it with a terry towel and put it in direct sunlight to dry.

I even cover the chair or couch deck before stacking the cushions or pillows to dry. Some of the cheap fabrics used on the decking do bleed. I also warn the custy NOT to replace the cushions untill dry. Some of my more finiky custys want to get their house back together ASAP. I tell them to wait at least 6 hours.

that's what I'd do first too
It's micro fiber ..the greatest thing for upl cleaners since Herculon ...it doesn't get any easier

I was fortunate the first piece I ever cleaned was a horrendously trashed recliner someone wanted cleaned
crayon, pen, magic marker, milk, kid puke, heavy soil ..
it was worse than any student rental or sec 8 move out curb trash

I told the lady I couldn't be responsible for any damage i did (didn't have a clue about MF then)
No problem to her, cause she was putting it in garage (their smoking lounge) or in the trash

I NUKED it with the same sledgehammer pre-spray I used on the carpet ...i mean HOSED IT DOWN.
then was AMAZED when i ran the upl tool over it....... EVERYTHING came out :eekk:

it is SO easy to be a hero when cleaning MF....I LOVE the stuff.
there's only one type than sucks ..i think they call it "flocked" ??
Fortunately, it's rare to see that type...most of it is the indestructible variety

It will likely DO IT AGAIN over time, even if you get it perfect.

Umm, No
She agreed to burn the pillows : )

This lady works for a local carpet company. She informed me she ran the oxy clean guy off today. To be honest I think that was do to my mention of Ghetto KoolAid though !
