Been using theses chemicals daily here recently and been a little concerned if it's harmful??? Cautious not to get on my skin but can't help but breath the fumes.... Especially using a pump up sprayer

None of it can be good inside of your lungs. Some products really irritate my nose so I try not to use them. I consider that an early warning.

If you are vaporizing them, they could be harmful... Just like anything.

I would not spray releasit... Best to use it with a Cimex.

Some on here have lost or nearly lost business because of the smell of releasit. Right Nate?

But overall, I wouldn't be more concerned with releasit, than any other juice you use.

Yeah we had a commercial building we cleaned for 12 years at that time.... A lady in a small office all the way at the other end would call security when we'd clean carpets behind closed doors.... I've used Releasit in the OmniPro sprayer and the tea tree oil smell was pretty strong making me cough.... Generally people like the smell of tea tree oil, but to the point of making you cough, it changes your mind... We almost lost the account from spraying Releasit....

The business moved to a another floor downsized there office... I've ran Releasit in the Cimex and no complaining lady to deal with or coughing.....

The new citrus scent smells wonderful. It's lighter than tea tree. We've been getting really positive comments about it.

Regarding health... There are no hazardous ingredients in Encap-Clean DS2 or Encap-HydrOx so you've got nothing to worry about. I've always felt that milder chemicals are preferential, especially if a milder product can get the job done. HydrOx and DS2 certainly fall into that category. They're about as safe as products you'd typically find in your bathroom for hair care. Yet they both are extremely effective.

A lot of the cleaning is being accomplished with the polymer. Releasit's polymer, though fairly inert, readily attracts soil. Relying on the Encap polymer to absorb soil enables us to get good results without having to depend on brute force on the chemical side of the equation.

Like others have said above, breathing any cleaning product is probably not a great idea. Try to minimize exposure. Use a coarse spray tip so that less particulate becomes atomized. Working with safe products is the course of wisdom. Using products that contain safe raw ingredients lends itself to a safer, healthier, work environment.

Nate, one of my happy part-timers is a great strapping guy, a mechanic by trade and not someone you'd consider delicate.

I turned him loose in a room using Releasit HydrOx (a fantastic product) and the poor guy reacted like he was in a tear gas chamber.

My own wife, sensitive to all things perfumed, loves it when I use HydrOx at home. She is my pinkeyed test bunny and she has no reaction whatsoever, other than saying "ahh, smells nice!"

I use a backpack sprayer, keep it low and so far, no complaints. We even use HydrOx and DS2 when extracting, because they work well and I don't worry about any residues left behind.

Your lady down the hall, fortunately, is uncommon. Meanwhile, for my little company, Releasit products have their place of pride on the van.

Now where is that case I ordered Saturday?

I would think getting polymer into your lungs would be like putting a plastic bag over your head.
Wear a mask if spraying- and I should practice what I preach.

Rick, What products now have citrus instead of the dreaded TeaTree oil?

All of our products now have the Citrus scent, except for Encap-1 (our original classic DS formula), and Encap-Spot (because of the odor-counteracting benefits of the higher concentration of tea tree in that product). All the rest of the line now has the new fresh citrus scent. It's not overpowering at all, it just smells delicious. Fresh and clean is how I'd describe it.

P.S. Most people liked the tea tree scent, some didn't care for it, and a few hated it. The new fresh citrus scent should meet with approval of most, if not all.

I bitched about the smell of Releasit for years and all I got from Rick was I'm one in a million and stop spraying it. I got a Cimex and it still caused me to cough and hack. Funny ... he's now changed the formula.

I'm telling you guys ... y'all need to listen to me more.

The Zipper is great on commercial ...
