Releasit Has a Fresh New Scent

Ever since the first jug of Releasit was produced back in 2003, we've used tea tree oil for the scent. Many of our customers liked the scent. However, some folks aren't all that crazy about the smell of tea tree. We've heard a few complaints about Releasit's scent through the years, so we felt it was time for the tea tree scent to be replaced.

We set out to find a good alternative for the Releasit line. As we sampled different fragrance options we wanted to find a fresh clean scent that wasn't over-powering. The light citrus scent we finally decided to go with smells incredible. It's like cutting open a ripe navel orange! You might even be tempted to taste it - but we don't really recommend that. ;-)

The new Citrus Fresh Scent is now in Encap-Clean DS2, Encap-HydrOx, Encap-Punch, Bio-Encap, and Encap-Basic. Tea tree oil will still remain in Encap-Spot and Encap1.

The new scent smells great! As the carpet gets cleaned, a light citrusy scent fills the air. The feedback has been positive about the new scent!

Does your O2 have a fragrance? I WAS using Bridgepoints encapucleanO2 but everywhere I used it people said it smelled like vomit. I just hate to keep adding multiphase deo to it.

I think you professionals get a free Cimex with every case.

All I get are redhots and Herself swipes those before I can blink.

Sure, poke fun, but you ain't married to a hard-knuckled Tarheel with eyes like razorblades and fists the size of cantelopes.

However; If you were and if you had survived 36 years of pain, joy, new life, death, victory and loss, and if your giantess had devoted nearly half her life to caring for family members and still whips up the damndest omelette to send you off each day, and if she had chow ready each night and if you still loved her shiny brown eyes and the way she laughs at 60...
You'd give up your redhots too.

Tea tree never was associative to coughing. :eekk:

An earlier surfactant was what had contributed to coughing. We changed out that surfactant a few years back. But try to convince the public that it 's not about the tea tree. In the minds of the carpet cleaners in general the tea tree oil was the culprit for coughing when the product was sprayed! And even though tea tree wasn't the cause for coughing - it was a battle we would never be able to win. So rather than try to push the boulder uphill any longer and attempt to change the perceptions of cleaners who had convinced themselves that tea tree led to coughing, it was a more sensible approach to simply replace the tea tree oil. :)

Does it have a crystal residue? Not some old fashioned film former.
I don't buy into the marketing hype that it encapsulates any soil.............leaving a non-soil attracting residue yes.
So what you don't absorb into any pad then the residue dries and doesn't attract dirt. But it will add to the dirt already there.

I never bought into the film former Encap Hype either! Although our products contain a fluorochemical, they also are loaded with crystallizing encapsulation polymer. The polymer's role is to encapsulate soil and shear away from the fiber. It can then be recovered through the normal routine of post vacuuming. Without the polymer, there would be no vehicle for soil to be recovered.

Not to worry rick, people will find something else to complain about. :stir:

In regards to the coughing, I quit using Releasit because of the coughing years back. When I bought my Cimex a year or so ago I got some. It still made me hack. This is after the polymer change. Even though I was not spraying it down but running it through the Cimex it made me cough.

My son loaded the equipment last night and put HotKnife on the van because he likes it the best, so I was unable to try the new orange laced Releasit.

The dilution ratio on your O2 is at 10-12 oz per gallon. : (

That's a max dilution for shampooing with Encap-HydrOx in order to get the full effect from the hydrogen peroxide. It actually cleans nicely at lower dilutions. We know a lot of guys use it at 8 oz per gallon, or even a bit lower. Cleaning at lower dilutions can be done, there's just not as much activity from the hydrogen peroxide. If you're looking to get a big "pop" from the hydrogen peroxide, then using the full recommended dilution is the best option.

I've had other products that made me cough also. Maybe not as bad as the old formula but still an irritant.

but running it through the Cimex it made me cough.
Never experienced that with any Encap product. The only time I've ever noticed is when spraying it with the Orbot.
