Replacing float on water pond?

My float mechanism is bad on my Blueline water pond. Is this something I need to order direct (over $100 ) or is this a thing I can repair for much less with simpler parts?

I just went down to the local tractor supply store and got a float tank shut off. $20ish. Been working great for 3 years now.

We have an adjustable General float valve that under $20 & has been reliable:

The Inlet is 3/8' pipe thread, and total length is about 10" .

We also carry the repair seals for maintaining it.

Curt can you post a picture of the valve/float style? I say deal with it and look around for a few days for something local. Look at ebay float shutoff's. Even plumber supply house's.
