Restoration services - how about disaster preventive service

How many of you offer in your area services to people to prepare their property for when a storm is coming? I see Florida is about to get hit and it got me thinking.


As a pre-emptive measure do you board up windows, sand bag etc

That sounds like a great idea! I'm sure there would have to be extensive limitation of liability contracts. As you obviously cant protect against everything.

Board up windows etc. before the storm--

Maybe thin some trees, especially oaks. (I am certain there is a liability or insurance issue with this...plus you kinda need to know what you're doin to properly thin them)

Sandbags.

That is all I can think of off hand.

We have contract on the properties we take care of assuring them we will be there and that they only use us. ...we also have a disaster passes to get back in.

I know he wouldn't toot his own horn so I will since it's great stuff. Check with Ivan Turner at http://showmemarketingsolutions.com He has Disaster Management Plan templates that are used to assist property managers prepare for a disaster.

Scott--not sure the DMP is available yet.? The other programs are OUTSTANDING! Alot different than everything else on the market.
