This happened twice in the same night to a company i used to work for. The first crew was cleaning a restaurant close to downtown Vancouver when the wand was yanked out of the carpet cleaners hands and went flying down the stairs. The stunned techs went outside to see their van racing away, pto unit still engaged, broken hoses swaying behind it. They call the night supervisor to report it and he said he would call a crew who was cleaning another restaurant about 3 miles up the road to pick them up. When he called that crew, they said, "we were just about to call you, we just had our truck stolen". Same guys who stole the first one, broke down, the truck caught on fire, then they saw the second one and stole that one too. Both trucks were totaled.

Jusss took it for a test drive. I'll bring it back later. :icon_twisted:

KC is like any large metro, rough. If I can avoid going into town I do.

In recent years everything has built around the Kansas Speedway so we rarely go much further than that. Food, shopping, entertainment, sports are all in one spot now and its 20 minutes closer than downtown KC.

That sucks maybe a PTO, where petty theft is highest in all of LA county isn't a good thing.

They used to run PTO's but this might be a slide in. They are just about 7 or 8 miles south of me but the job they were on was on the east side of KC. It's sad when your tools that you make a living this are stolen.

Working in the ghetto has it's risks. When ever I go to the east side of KC I take my gun and knife. Have a realtor who has a rental down in the ghetto and I take someone just to stand beside the van so no one takes anything.

I had a guy steal my hydro-force sprayer right out of the stairwell while I was cleaning an apartment building. I had just finished cleaning a hallway and was looking for it to prespray the next one and couldn't find it. I went down to the truck to check if I had put it back in and found all my extra wands and stair tools were missing. Probably some homeless guy who is going to sell it for scrap metal. Nice to have a pto where you can lock everything up. That's one of the main advantages.
