Please be aware that your donation of chemicals and tool usage at any Ronald McDonald House project can possibly be written off as an expense, if you care about such please consult your tax person if you wish to do so.
Neither Mikey's Fest or the RMHC will be providing you with receipts, never have, never will.

Your time and labor on the other hand can not be written off - https://grantspace.org/resources/knowledge-base/is-volunteer-time-tax-deductible/

Good luck.

"They might be able to deduct uniforms, transportation or other documented, unreimbursed, out-of-pocket expenses that they paid in order to volunteer"

That is quoted from the web link you provided above. Fuel to get there, and hotel cost due to it being more than one day are considered an out of pocket expense. I'm not gambling on luck. I'm doing what my CPA instructed

I know you're not supposed to claim the physical labor on cleaning the RMHC as a tax writeoff.

Those trips are business oriented, and it'll be written off as a business education expense or a business expense to volunteer.
