I have an opportunity to buy an older 360i (it's the 3 slot version) just wondering how it compares to the newer 4 slot and can a carpet brush head can be used on the old one?

The 4 head is more Agressive. cleans the rat holes better and faster. But I found it also left the carpet wetter. It can cause wrinkles on lose install s due to the pull it has and you really have to watch for lose seems. The 3 head runs smother and leaves carpet dryer. More Gental to the carpet. Over all I like the 3 head better for everyday use. The 4 head if you clean in the getto everyday.

Andy, Are you still using that RV that I sold to you? I still have that tile head and ring if anyone is interested. Only used a couple times.

Thanks Nate, I read the thread and it appears to be an original rv360 with the 1 1/2 in vac inlet.

There's a noticeable improvement and I wouldn't waste my time with the OG360.. The carpet is dryer with the increased vac chamber imho....

I could be wrong but I think the three port brush head provides the better drying ( for smaller machines) of the three 3 shoe and the superiour agitation of the four port all in one head.

Better agitation actually.

Run a Devfilter or be prepared to go tank diving

But can you use the brush head on the same residential as the quad head or is it too much aggression?

You would think but no.

Any condition that warrants rotary extraction seeing be bothered by the (broken in) brushes, is what I'm seeing.

Those that use RE as their USP and use one on EVERY carpet should have a nice gentle head like the round glide HOSS or the 15" for the I

I almost bought an old version a few weeks ago and it included the carpet head ( non swoop glides), tile head and the brush head. I phoned RotoVac and they explained all the updates on the new version 360i. Call and ask Jeff at RotoVac about the differences, I bought the new one.

I cleaned one of my pizza joints that I clean every 2 months the other night and I used the brush head on the 360i. I was shocked by how much sand came out of the carpet. It usually cleans up and looks good but I have never seen sand come out of a commercial carpet like this. We have not had a real snowy winter and I wonder how much junk we usually leave. I need to get him to update his Vacuum as it is probably 3 years old and probably not working very good any more.
