I have the Sheardry tool and have used it some. It won't use full flow. It needs to be dialed down, otherwise the center hole in the back and the two center holes in the front spray out much more forcefully. It was noticable on a couch I was cleaning with the tool on the fabric, but of course when you lift the tool up, it will spray back at me and get me and anything else wet.
If the tool is dialed down, it will work ok, but I like full cleaning power such as I get from my Hydrokinetic.
I tried plugging all the rear holes with some silicone so it only sprayed out the front, but that didn't hold. I now have just the one center hole that I plugged in the rear, and I will try that on my next job.
At Mikefest, the SS tool seemed to be better at using full pressure and not spraying out on me, but without more use, I can't say for sure that would be the case with my set up.
I do like the light weight and feel of the tool. The trigger handle didn't seem as nice as the SS though, and I soon lost the pin holding the trigger on. Easy fix.
I think I am going to like having it on some jobs. The idea of two directions is interesting. I am wondering if the plate that sprays is the problem with not being able to suck up the water flow in the vacuum chamber as well as the SS. I would like to see the ridge between the spray and vac slot in both directions flattened out, and see if the would make it work better since the vacuum might have more grab on the spray. Would be interesting to try that, but if it didn't work, I guess I could purchase a new one for $20.
I got such a deal from Mike at the
Fest for the Rotovac 360I 4 jet that included the Sheardry tool, that I couldn't pass it up. Thanks Mike. I love the new Rotovac 360i Quad! (more on that another time)
