RRP lead training

Sent 3 guys to get certified today. Early reports from them said this is going to increase WDR bills substantially. Ahh, our government hard at work. Saving us from ourselves. Lead bad. Everyone I have talked to said the training says what to do but threw their arms in the air when asked how and what the requirements are. Seems the rule is a little rushed and unplanned.

they seemed pretty simple to me, Al

if more than 6 square ft of material is disturbed, the regs apply.
and I believe you can check your own work and deem it "safe" for occupancy when finished

for HUD subsidized properties, it's 2 sf and outside inspectors determine if safe

"engineering controls" ....there are no "rules" on how or even whether you set up containment areas


I do agree the whole thing is a cluster f..., though
no doubt about that
