It is time for us to automate. The rug pit was fine for the last year or two but it is time to cut labor costs and increase the quality of our work.
What machines do you guys suggest?

Then you should raise your prices if you want to take the time to do quality work. Your $84 to clean a whole house is the lowest price I have ever seen in the world of carpet cleaning.

At that price its either a B&S, high pressure sales or a serious hack job. Your techs make below minimum wage?

Interesting reply to a question that was not asked. Perhaps asking vs dictating or judging would help you understand what he does Brent.

The only new equipment that gets you closer to automation is the centrum stuff its not really automated but it requires less labor. contact them, Tom will give you a list of cleaners using their equipment visit one and see if thats the way you want to go

Sometimes used Moore equipment hits the market often these needs lots of work. I have one on storage IMO the only usable part is the compression wringer

The next step is a dedicated wash floor and a wringer. Centrifugal extractors are more thorough, compression wringers are faster.

I don't know if they have any room left, but you definitely need to try and get in on the ARCS event happening in Austin at the end of the month. You'll have questions answered that you haven't thought of yet, and you'll meet the people that will be most able to help you in the future.

I would love to have some of those Centrum machines but we don't do enough rugs to pay for it. I like the automated soil separator, the washing tub and the wringer. Cool stuff that looks like it wouldn't take up much room. Those would probably reduce labor and costs for you.

If you go to http://www.alibaba.com and type in "carpet washing machines" and "rug washing machines" and "mini-duster" you can get connected to all of the European companies that produce these automated machines. Hanta Systems, Tank Makina, CleanTemMakina, etc. - in Greece and Turkey. If you google "carpet washing machines Turkey" you can get the direct Alibaba links.

If you are serious about looking, might as well price a few sources to see what best fits your budget.

Lol! Which is why we opened a rug cleaning plant and charge $3-$8 a sf to clean rugs

I liked Kens response too! Lol
