Rug delivery day

Happy to get these 10 wool rugs back and paid. It was a good day.

I have a bunch hanging up and another bunch on the floor. Saturday will be my delivery day.

Open them up or puncture holes when you deliver them so the rugs can acclimate. You don't want to trap any moisture.

They are dry. The purpose of bagging them was to keep moths out. They are going into long term storage

For long term storage you want to use tyvek. I poke holes in either end of my plastic bagged rugs.

If you put a "dry" plastic-wrapped rug in the sun, you'll see water condensing on the sunny side of the plastic.

Wool holds a lot of moisture and still feels dry, so any long-term wrap has to breathe. Perforated plastic, paper, Tyvek - even a cotton sheet will keep pests out and let the moisture out.

Exactly. There is always ambient moisture around. We run our rugs an extra 2 days in the dry room if long term storage is the request…
