Mike thanks for the post. Here is one more thing that may help some make the decision to come:

Exciting News… Rug Summit VIII has been approved for IICRC Continuing Education Credits. These will be registered as IICRC Event 2965 and we will assign 2 credits to our registrants in the
cleaning/restoration, or inspection or master categories.

There could not be a better one!

Where else can you talk with company owners that have had successful rug businesses for decades?

Where else can you have everyone in the same room that are at different levels of doing business ready to help and offer observations with no ego and agenda to sell you something? (Actually eating, drinking and conversing with the millions of dollars a year in revenue tycoon that sits next to the modest hard working 5 figure single operator guy)

Where else can you see and talk about different methods and processes by the operators actually doing the work they speak about? (And see and touch the various styles of equipment being used)

Where else is someone going to tell you the straight scoop on what is really happening in the business and potentially could happen with no wild exaggeration? (After all Randy Hyde is even coming to his 2nd one)

Where else can you observe panel discussions of rug care by seasoned cleaners with combined years of experience that escalates into the 100's of years?

Where else can you go and have all the content delivered that is specifically relevant to rug cleaning and care?

We are not talking about a handful of people showing up. There is over a 100 registered already. Owners that have been in attendance before are now bringing with them their key management people this time too. This is a business building event.

I could go on, but suffice to say, it is a worthwhile investment to see if this is a business that makes sense to get into for the reasonable cost to register. If you are already in the business, it will likely inspire you to get better at it. The cross section of people, combined with the area in North America they service, adds luster to the event.

Thanks for asking.

It's a very good event almost a steal at the price 395.00 for the number of experienced & successful rug washers, speakers
and covered breakfast, lunch & plant tours.

Considering others charge 700+ for far less

Don't forget the free entertainment!

He is talking about The All Star Rug Band that includes, but is not limited to, talented performers and rug washers, Joe Gabel on guitar and vocals, Dave Sweeney on bass and vocals, Tom and Sidney Jundanian on keyboard and vocals, and Brian Marantette on vocals. Maybe the "King" will be drafted for percussion.

They will fill Wednesday night with music in the ambience of Pridjian's Rug Gallery while the rest enjoy cocktails, soda and hors d'oeuvres. No doubt some will be cutting the rug on popular dance tunes.

This is a nice way to unwind and have fun after the first day of Rug Summit 8. This should be epic!

Early bird offer is over. However, note some of the MB folk that will be there:

Dave Rampage
Robert Pettyjohn
Tom King
Chris Augusto
Chet Sadowski
Ron Koller
Kevin Leach
Chip Cunningham
Randy Hyde
Lisa Wagner
Ruth Travis
Robert Mann
...and more that I likely failed to mention

Add this to about 100 more that don't yet frequent MB so far.

Brian Marantette is singing lead with The ALL STAR RUG BAND Wednesday night. I forgot to mention Dave Sweeney is on bass and singing too. Tom and Sidney Jundanian on keyboard and vocals. Joe Gabel is leaving his band behind in NM and joining ranks singing and playing his guitar. We are looking for a drummer to sit in also. Some brass would be nice too. (Maybe I might have to bring out the ax? Les Paul Super Pro)
