Where is the best place to get trained in the nation? This is on our near term road map and we want to be able to handle every rug that comes our way.

Kevin what you're looking for is not available. That takes a lot of time. Time to see all the rugs you might All you can hope is the training you get gives you the ground work to overcome what you encounter. 20 years ago Viscose and Banana Silk and even the amount of Tufted Rugs you will see was not the norm.

we want to be able to handle every rug that comes our way.

Master rug is probably the most thorough... and takes a lot of time compared to more abbreviated training. Still, most training teaches you some observational skills, and learning to identify construction and test dyes is the most important part of rug cleaning. It will take years of taking classes and making mistakes to get good, so pay attention to the rugs you're most likely to buy and avoid them until you're doing enough volume to eat the replacement cost of rug now and then.

Best training.....

Find a volume production shop Like DA burns, Robert Mann, Rug renovating and work in their rug department for 5 years.
Then strike out on your own Yes, you'll still make a bunch of mistakes along the way but they won't be rookie mistakes! :-)

No doubt that Aaron and Ellen's class is the most extensive. But it might be a bit much for the beginning level tech. I do think that the Hands-on class that Doug Heiferman and I teach is a great starting point. Get started cleaning some rugs and get your feet wet in the pit for a couple of days.

We plan classes in Seattle and Pensacola and maybe New York during 2016 but no dates set in stone, yet.
