I have a customer that has some rust coloring in their bathtub and in their shower stall..from well water...generally I tackle ceramic tile for soil and grease..never rust...so I am seeking advice on wall and floor ceramic tile cleaning with a rust film

some acids, mainly hydrochloric, are oxidizers. You want a non-acidic rust remover. Lithofin makes a good one. It will turn the rust bright purple first, then you can rinse it away.

Ammonium biflouride is a great rust remover, but you can only use it on calcite based stones. It will etch granite, glass, porcelain, metal and ceramic.
