Safety Manual specific to Carpet Cleaning

were a small business (job owner) .. we have a commercial account requiring the table of contents of a safety manual .. good thing the request was by email and not by phone .. cause Im like huh .. safety manual .. never considered having something in writing .. let alone employee training .. now that one has been requested, I cant believe Ive done with out .. Ive done the verbal training .. just assumed if something happened, just call me ..

anyone out there have something in place ready to provide when requested by facility managers .. Im sure I could fabricate one but I dont want to "look" like an idiot :hopeless:

Check with your State Department of Labor and Industries website. Most have boilerplate templates you can modify for your use. Simpler and shorter is best. Leave out anything that doesn't directly pertain to your company.

Check with your chemical provider for guidelines in implementing a:

HAZCOM Communication Program for your business.

It requires a little prep work, but can save OSHA fines.

I recently began presenting all my commercial estimates as more of a "package", as opposed to merely one piece of paper with a number on it, like I see most of the other mamalukes around me doing.

I consider commercial bids to be a one shot deal, and the only opportunity at a first impression.
One chance to sell yourself and your company, most of the time based merely on the content of what you choose to present to a potential client.
No do-overs.

It's a simple way to set yourself apart from your competitors, and at least create the image that you have your shit together.

A safety checklist like this is another great addition to add to any future bids.

Definitely agree, now the minimum service is 2x year. 1 hwe/1 encap
Really shoot for quarterly by adding vct,restroom floors.

I sold too many 1x jobs when i started, just caved in too quickly.

Most IICRC manuals have a section on safety. You can use materials from the training you or your employees have attended.
