Sorry no pics guys. I just have a quick question on how you pay your sales girls that work on the restoration side of the company? Any commission or just on an hourly rate?

I am just starting my restoration side and don't have a lot of time to get out and talk to agents and plumbers and all. I also don't have a lot of money so was wondering if any one paid by commission only?

Thanks for any input.

Commision only on Restoration sales calls would be tuff, your girl will be visiting insurance offices, plumbers, fire stations repetedly to let them know you do this kind of work, it takes time before it pays off, this would disscourage her.
My sales girl gets salary plus a nice commision at years end. I first hired a "Director of Marketing", she has many job duties but her main goal is to bring in new work everyday, we split this up between commercial, restoration and residential. If your gal is good she will make her pay! Set aside 4 weeks pay and go for it. Once she gets established send her out on the road 2 days a week, or hire your sales girl at that point. Then you'll see that good people make there own salary and free you up to be creative and work On your business. AL

P.S.
Maybe you should give Scott a call

Are you only interested in how sales girls are paid or sales boys too? Does your person mind being called a sales girl or is she actually a teenager?

How about Salesperson?

We started our out at $10.00 an hour and will work her into a sales growth incentive, if she proves to be a winner.

So far it's just been a week of training, but the potential looks good!

Sorry Nick, I am a little sensitive to gender stuff. As Scott knows (and likes to goof on me about) I grew up in a house full of girls and 2 of my business partners are women. I tend to be very hyper aware of what I perceive (not necc the reality of situation)0 gender bias or sexist type statements. Its my crap I know but I also hope to be an example to people I come in contact with.

I'm very happy you feel that way and I'm sure you are a good influence. I admire that! I do however joke around and political correctness can suck it. JK.

LOL- I can be politically incorrect in the right setting too Nick, just got this hang up on the women thing.

Bob- I think they'd rather shoot themselves than go to lunch and talk carpet cleaning~ now if we want to have an oriental rug conversation I could prob convince at least my ex to come, but probably not her sister.

Ken:
Just a question I'd really like to know the answer to. Nothing important, or too revealing.

When you cross your legs, do you swing your foot and chew gum?

LOL~ that was great Marty, I almost spit my coffee out, laughing so hard this morning. The worst part is that my wife use to laugh with me cause while I don;t chew gum I have been guilty of crossing my leg and swinging it the way some might call girl like  Fortunately for me I really don't give a sheet what too many people think.
