modern encrap shampoos already have anti-resoil properties from the polymer, why would you bother with protector? For the dollar I'd just sell the customer an additional cleaning cycle for the year.

or...are they "demanding" it?

In most cases you are just getting ripped off buying encap products that claim to have a "protector" added in . Having tested over 35 encap products none of the ones claiming to have a protector are any better than a standard encap product at protecting from spills. Some are actually crappy products altogether or smelly , allergy aggravating disasters.
