Hot coffee soaked in immediately on both.

"Beading up" isn't the goal really. How well does it subsequently clean up versus an untreated control sample?

Nice job, thanks for doing it!
I'm surprised they worked as well as they did!

IE; How long did you let the crap cure.??
I recall I did the first cleanup as a customer would using just a washcloth and some detergent, then later I used an upholstery tool to clean everything out. In the end, the protected sides and the unprotected sides all cleaned up when I steam cleaned. I'm not sure what that proved about protectors, but since I don't normally apply them to carpets or furniture I guess it shows they don't matter ultimately.Art I would call a professional for cleaning...your results will come out much better.
j/k don't let that comment penetrate your "leather".![]()
Who knows? These were discarded upholstery pieces I found somewhere......The video shows the untreated half of each piece soaking up the Red Pop, whereas the treated sides resisted that absorption, at least for a minute. I was surprised how the red dye washed off whether treated or untreated with either Scotchgard or SpotGuard, so who knows? I hope this test helps clear up any confusion people have about applying protectors.Art, some fabrics come with protector already on them.
Were the patches protector free before you applied the different ones?
