Before and After Spotlight: Central Steamer
Welcome to another before and after! This week we’re spotlighting an extreme filtration line that ran throughout the customer’s home. The customer researched online how to go about cleaning it and attempted to clean it on their own, but the staining was too extreme. That’s when they decided to call in professionals!
Central Steamer, based out of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, has been in business since 2005. The entire staff is IICRC-certified. They remedy mold and odors, fire, smoke, and water damage, and more – in addition to carpet, rug, tile and grout, and upholstery cleaning.
They posted pictures from this filtration line job on their Facebook page.

The picture above is what they started with. According to their Facebook page, they suspect the cause of the filtration line is smoke from a house fire up the street drifting into the dwelling. “Her house is heated with electric hot water baseboard. Normally this type of filtration lining is only seen when a house has coal or oil heat and there is a furnace malfunction causing a puffback,” Central Steamer said in their post.

Making progress! But can they make the carpet look brand new again?

Of course! “Luckily we were able to restore this carpet […] after several cleaning steps with the right equipment and process, thus saving the customer an expensive carpet replacement throughout her entire home,” says Central Steamer.
Amazing job, Central Steamer. Thanks for sharing your photos!
