I thought it ironic that the only negative reply was from someone that also lives in Nampa, ID.

Both of you go.

When you return home, PUT WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED INTO PRACTICE.

Then it will pay off for you.

If you don't, then you have wasted your time & money.

I'd dearly love to return & attend another SFS.

I've been twice and would like to go again...this time I promise to stay awake! ;)

Seriously it was great and I do plan a third time. There is just so much to learn it can be overwhelming. I get inspired every time I go.

It's worth the time away, it's worth much more than you pay. You really need to go. They give you all the tools to help you be successful.

You make friends too. Kevin Leach was in one of my classes and we have remained friends since the class.

It's great, you must go! :headbang:

Funny, I run my own race. It doesn't matter to me if Adam has 10 trucks on the road.
I get plenty of calls. I don't even answer them half the time.
We live 2-3 miles from each other. From what I understand he is a good man that has a successful business. Anytime I can help, just let me know.

Not everybody wants t0 be the next ''clean as a whistle ''

Everyone has a different vision of success. What might make one person happy might make another person miserable.

I would rather spend my money on the Lions not sheep experience or something similar.

It doesn't matter what stage your at in your business, it'll help you to become more finely tuned... Most of what I learned wasn't anything new to me as my pops would tell me the same stuff... It just helped to reinforce what he's already been telling me...

If anything, Chuck Violand's "numbers" are something worth the price alone... Also as @Desk Jockey mentioned the networking is also a plus...

Adam. I am also looking at Sfs with my wife. Honestly if she can't go I won't. I've learned that all the marketing stuff is useless if you don't buy in and implement. I guess I'm such a skeptic that I have a hard time seeing past the program's sales pitch. I think that is to my detriment.
Implementing is everything. And generally speaking my wife is the main reason I implement anything. So she would have to go.
That makes the class a much bigger investment. Not just the extra money for her. But being away from the kids for a week. That would be difficult
I'd love to know if you decide to go.

My wife and I are going to the Seattle SFS in 2 weeks. Sign up 30 early and you get $400 off, your wife is always half off what you pay. So that helps.
Being away from the kids will be rough. My employee will be working his tail off. I hope we don't lose too much work with me gone.

I've given a good pounding to Tooboring over the years but it's time for this semi retired broken down cleaner to give my 2 cents

Steve, Bill and the whole damn crew are downright passionate and devoted to your success.

Over the long pull , you'd have to be an idiot to not make over 100 fold of what you invest in the class

Just being in the presence of other biz owners looking to improve their companies and getting engaged with them is worth the trip

Aaaaa ok

I have three trucks. 2 running full time, one back up.
I would love to have two guys running full time and me in a back up doing the over flow but not working as hard as I am now.

That would be perfect IMO

sfs is a must in my opinion..actually was going to take it a 2nd time after 10 years but had a unbreakable obligation with my nephew and the marine core

i will be taking a refresher this year though..the key is not to just listen, learn and take notes but actually implement and do the things you learn

Go, go go.

I've been through SFS 5 times. I'm lucky enough to have a Jon Don in driving distance so I take it each time it comes to town. We went for the first time 9 years ago and we had been in business since 1991. So, it's never too late to go.

This is not a hard sell class. It does teach you about marketing, but mostly it's about systems and procedures to help you become more efficient, provide better customer service, differentiate you from competition and create value added services. It transformed our business after being in business for 15+ years.

The opportunity to network with other cleaners and companies is priceless. I keep in contact with many people from SFS. We share ideas, are accountability partners to each other, lift each other up and celebrate our successes.

The other thing is the support and help from instructors does't stop after the class. Chuck, Bill and Steve are just a phone call or email away. The flash drive and two huge binders you leave with have everything in them so you can refer back.

The drawback to this class is wanting to do so much of it when you get back and feeling overwhelmed as to what to do and wanting to do it all right away. This is why I continue to attend. What we needed to start with and spoke to me the first time, is so very different from where we are now. Even though I may have heard some of the info before, it wasn't the right time for us and we weren't "ripe" for it. Going back is a refresher on helping us figure out what to do next or reminds us of something we heard before, but forgot about and we are now ready to take on.

As far as the cost of the class, it is well worth the price of admission. What many don't know however, is depending on how much you have spent with Jon Don in the past 12 months, you can get a 1/2 price or even FREE class. I don't remember the exact numbers ($3000 for 1/2 price and $5000 or $6000 for free). When registering if you call the 800 number, ask about this. You're not automatically "flagged" for that so if you don't ask, you won't get it.

I've shared updates with the SFS team about things we've done since attending. I owe them an update, as it's been a while, but you can read our story here...

The only thing you will regret about this, is that you didn't do it sooner!
