Just because of its unprofessional appearance.

Zackly!

On average they only notice if you make a big deal out of it.

I beg to differ, BUT if you want to sell them a vac, all you need to do is bring it in first and take it out last, no salesmanship required. !dork!

Assuming yur not using a pos vac they can get at BBBeyond.

I paid $589 for my Sebo X4 four years ago, I guess they've gone up since then... I'd still buy one, but mine will probably be good for a few more years yet.

JB...how do you get on as a disty... I get lots of custy's asking me about my Sebo, it's be nice to sell em one.

We use the Oreck commercial backpack vacs with a power head from Hesco. They are now 6 years old and going strong ( I have replaced the harness/ straps ) .
When I was buying the flavor of the month fron Walmart/Bj's or Costco they never last more than 2-4 months.
All those $100-$150 vacuums add up to the cost of a decent vacuum pretty fast.

Just stay away from the Oreck 8lb junker, I only recommend their commercial backpack.

Mikey,

Thanks for the post. I do not want to purchase a $600 vacuum right now, so I ordered this vac from Wal-Mart (I wanted blue, can't do purple.sorry).

I should receive it tomorrow. Hopefully it works well!

Thanks, Chris

I bought one of those Sharks for my wife several months ago. She and I both love the thing. Mikey is right about the dirt cup and the head being too small. Those two things are the only reason I haven't bought another for my cleaning business. I have used a Dyson vac for years and absolutely think it is the best vacuum made. When it finally died, I couldn't come up with the bucks to buy another, and bought a cheaper vac instead. I regret that, and will be buying another Dyson as soon as possible.

The Shark vacuums just as good as a Dyson and I would buy one instead of the Dyson in a minute if I didn't know myself as well as I do. After about the third dumping, while still in the first room, I would thrown it away.

Heck, I had mine for so long that I can't remember what model it was. It was red and purple, I think ... I am somewhat color blind. Even the standard yellow one is good.

However, my wife went on-line today and said she found several different Shark Vacuums and (according to her) a couple had larger heads. I am going to check on that, because she said the most exspensive one was $250, I think. If the heads are bigger, the cup is larger and the performance is as good as the little one, then I will probably buy one of those instead of a Dyson, unless I can get a Dyson for $250.
