Is anyone currently cleaning this carpet now? Or has cleaned it recently?

How do you do it, and why do you use that method?

I have been getting some mixed messages from reps, facility guys, mills, etc. I would really like to find out the real deal. I do not know anyone at Shaw to ask.

Thanks for the help.

It is a solid backed carpet tile. No real way for it to delaminate.

Shaw rep made it clear to the GC that this carpet cannot get wet. The backing is just made of recycled material. The fiber is still a solution dyed nylon. I don't see or cannot find anywhere that says to clean it differently. I need to get something that says it can be wet cleaned. Once I showing writing the exact opposite of the what the mill rep said then I should be in.

from the Shaw website

http://www.shawcontractgroup.com/html/h ... ntract.pdf

is says to call 1-800-441-7429 for cleaning and maintenance procedures

from the website is say the stufff is pretty tough compared to the other poly backed tiles

the backing is made from 88% pop bottles and recycled materials and the backing is recyclable

Most of it is use a pile lift type brush encap method on it (no bonnets) as a maintenance method every quarter and HWE 1X per year, that all depends on traffic patterns. High traffic 4X per year, executive office 1X, 2x at the most type situation

here is some other info but sounds like you need CRI approved chemicals
