We want to acknowledge Shawn and his contributions to our industry in the latest revision of the S100 Carpet Cleaning Standards.

Since I was closest to him out of all the current contributors, it's on me to come up with something.

Lets hear about your experiences with Shawn...

I knew him as friend. And thru our private conversations he mentioned he was treated rudely at some events ( Fests).

I didn’t like him when I first got on ICS. I thought he was trying way too hard to make carpet cleaning a science and present himself as a rocket surgeon. As the years rolled by I began to understand him better. Then he had two beautiful kids and I suddenly liked him.

All I want to do is turn a pos rust bucket...
An a broken man into something better resembling what I represent...
All my life I was bullied or insulted or told you ain't never gonna be shit...
But Mickey never said stay down...

So if I do get better,no malice any more towards anyone.
Every one needs to search there own soul to find true contentment...
I just wanna clean.
An iffn I can out clean Fred on a given day...
Then I succeeded in getting better..
He is a good guy,he got a great family an business...
Honored to be hated ,I guess ???
Life is too fkn short...
But ya he do know how to trigger...
We might have made a great team...

The IICRC and the S100 Standards Committee would like to pay tribute to the late Shawn Forsythe. Shawn’s commitment to bettering the way we clean, as well as being a shining example of how we as cleaners should do our best to help one another worldwide is to be commended.
A loving husband and father, a brilliant mind, and an intense passion for his work that is dearly missed by all.
