@Old Coastie , what steamer do you have? I have the desiderio plus. Recently got it, so haven't used it much outside of my own house.

This one. It lets me do things other cleaners cannot. However, use yours at every chance, even for weird stuff. Some things it does not do well at all, but being able to vacuum residue is pretty handy. Charge well for the time.

Lubricate the connector o rings religiously. Experiment with degreasers in the chemical tank, maybe a dash of scent to make people happy. Use a spurt of chemical to flush spots that the steam doesn't fully get to. If you shoot it up under faucet handles, they will sneeze mildew jelly back out from under the handles. First time you do that, you'll think of many other ways to use it!
