customer fell asleep while cooking and woke to a condo full of smoke,And wants me to clean the carpet and upholstery and possibly the walls.i have only talked to the custy on the phone,i will know more after i asess the situation.i am looking for a product that i can run thru my TM to clean cpt - uph

What did she burned? need to find out first. If it is a protein fire
Double-O from unsmoke is your product. If not 9-D-9 should do the
trick, but test all surfaces with a chem sponge to see what needs to
be clean... Air Ducts, walls, ceiling, clothing, drapes ... ozone treatment
after all is done. She may want to contact her insurance co on this one.
You may want to find a restoration company for her and see if you can
get a referral fee from them.

as a restoration company, I would treat it like a regular fire at first, clean everything from top to bottom, wash everything etc, protein is the hardest odor to get rid of. cleaning the carpets and upholstery is only part of the job. the last one I did I used a combo of ozone and thermo fog, the thermo fog was really the key to getting rid of the odor, also remember there is a right and a wrong way to thermo fog, which I didn't know until the last couple years. you want a fine fog, turn the fogger down so its just smoking, if you run it wide open the smoke is thick and doesn't penetrate the pores like you want it, it also greases everything up too.

just spoke to the customer and she told me that there were meatballs that were burning on the stove the frozen kind,i dont know if that makes it a protein smoke or not :?:
