What do you think is the most popular scent used by the Professional Cleaner in a deodorizer?
In the 70's it was Lemon. Then when people became "over-lemoned", so to speak, ( every consumer product such as: furniture polish, home bathroom sprays, etc..), it was "wintergreen"; then, "bubble gum".

What is it now?

I remember using a formulation of a fresh soap scent perhaps similar to Dial Soap.

I agree Ed, everyone now wants an fresh clean smell. Not a scent that can be pinned down.

Yeah, "spring fresh" or some other New Jersey Scientists idea of what clean should smell like..

I rarely was a masking perfume type product. In my pitch I say "I leave nothing behind except for clean carpet with a little moisture which will quickly evaporate". I still carry and use lemon when need be. Most customers and I loved the citrus smell of the Judson Juice as we were working, unfortunately it bothered my lead techs respiratory system.
