What's the major advantage to soap free? Now I know that it's soap free...duh....but what are the advantages from a customers point of view? No residue? Less re soiling? And what brands are you using?

Soap Free is masterblend brand product while, there are other companies that have soap free products: Its kinda of a misnomer as we really do not use soaps but detergents. the appropriate name would be detergent free.

Here is a link to some literature that Masterblend uses to describe their product:

And there are many more out there. Its simply a differen and effective way of attacking oils and soiling with out the use of cleanign agents that may contribute to residue.

View it as another alkaline side cleaner (RTU) that also uses a powdered water activated peroxide as a brightening agent. Works better when freshly mixed as the peroxide is more active when fresh.

Starts as a white powder so the residue that is left (and there will be residue left) does not attract soil.

Works very well, for me at least, in most medium to light soil residential cleaning. (I don't do much commercial.)

Sometime it will need more help with pre-sprays addressing the specific needs. And other times a more powerful and versatile detergent will work better.

Do not use on wools, silk etc due to the peroxide.

I like it a lot.

Who has tried soap free as a prespray on a moderately soiled carpet with either a water rinse only or a light mixture of soap free through the line? Just curious.
