I read threads where guys mix it in a 5 gallon bucket and wait on it to off gas and then pour it into their sprayer. My question is if it's already off gassed or the oxygen is depleted isn't it just water at that point. What am I missing?

There should still be more than enough POP in the solution for a decent duration if you only let it settle for a few minutes.

It's the initial BIG FIZZ that can cause some issues.

H2o2 liquid is so much more sprayer friendly especially if you need a good stiff dose.

I agree about the liquid part but the powder Peroxide once the fizz is gone aren't you left with soda ash if you initially over heat it when mixing it and wait for its reaction to subside before using it or you have a deminished product in the end use.

I don't think one has to wait till it stops fizzing completely, only to let the initial eruption die down because that is what is most forcefull.

There should still be some undissolved solids left for a while.

I think the solution still retains the oxidizing effect for some time even though the solids are dissolved, as it changes the properties of the solution.

Add a little d'lim to prevent or stop the explosion.
interesting. i blew up a chapin 3 gallon sprayer with scalding hot water and sodium percarbonate. couldn't get out the vent fast enough. you could see the sides expanding like a balloon. i threw it behind the building and it blew up seconds later. i used to do that a lot back in the day. add hot water to it and let it pump up the sprayer. i added twice the normal amount as usual and the water was hotter, instant bomb. i collapsed so many pump tubes back then. fun times.

I was bonnet cleaning for a company I was working for tens of years a go and I was standing right over the 2 gallon pump sprayer pumping the shit out of it until it burst through the pump handle cylinder. My pants were soaked in the crotch so bad I ended up going home to change. Didnt want my junk drying out from chemicals.

haha, i remember doing a pet urine job, was mixing pet zone (mainly oxidizer) and the wind blew and i inhaled a bunch of powder by accident and i finished the job, but my ride home was horrific im sure i scared someone to death.

was driving along and i got the nose bleed of a life time. i used one rag to help stem the bleeding, it got soaked, then i grabbed another, and its got alot on it, in the mean time i had blood all over my hands. bloody rags etc. car was passing me while i was driving and trying to not bleed to death. haha. person looked up at me as they passed, the look of horror on their faces. haha. of course i'm in a big white van. so im sure i looked super suspicious.
